Wow, dragonflies flitting from flower to flower gathering nectar, ay? Perhaps you should do maybe 15 seconds or so of research before saying something like that. Dragonflies do not ever eat nectar. The only reason they might light on a flower is to wait to pounce on their next meal. They are quite voracious eaters. They eat other flying insects, mostly mosquitos, flies and bees. But will consume just about any other insect they can. The don’t kill their prey first, they chomp on the poor victim, live and squirming, while delicately dancing in the summer air, in mid flight.
So saying that a dragonfly doesn’t really earn it’s name is ridiculous. Tell that to the poor bee being chased by the jaws of death.
I love dragonflies, they are beautifulll, colorful, charming, and fascinating. But please do them justice before you describe their behavior on a public website.

The different types of deer in the world make you wonder at the rich bio-diversity on the planet. I guess it would be true of any species but with deer the differences are so much more stark.

The cow is revered to a great extent in large parts of the world. In India you will find traffic come to a standstill just because a cow has decided to sit down in the middle of the street and no one wants to disturb it. It has to be seen to be believed.

The tiger is the true epitome of jungle kings. The sad part about the tiger is that their numbers are dwindling so fast that our grand children may never get to see one live. Preservation is just not effective enough to conserve their diminishing populations.

Wolves don’t naturally bring out the sweeter side in you. We are so used to thinking of them as aggressive and ferocious that we forget they are just a shade wilder than the dogs we adore as pets. They do have many common traits.

I loved Happy Feet. The whole movie was so well thought out. In fact another movie that featured animated Penguins was Madagascar. Loved the bunch of them who take over the ship to go to the south pole.

There is something truly delightful about watching frolicking kittens. Perhaps it is the desire for an adult to return to carefree childhood that makes it all the more appealing to watch the kittens at play.
