Animal, Personal Checks

Not many people would think of Dragonfly Checks in the first instance. The Dragonfly has a name that makes it seem huge, fire breathing and scary. While the truth is that a Dragonfly is anything but scary. The Dragonfly is not at all huge, rather it’s tiny size seems to mock it’s name. And it definitely does not breathe fire from its minuscule nostrils!

Found in floral gardens, Dragonflies are actually delicate and mysterious. Not at all like the mythological Dragons that they are named after. They flutter from flower to flower collecting nectar and seeming to dance in the breeze. Seen specially in areas close to natural water sources, they are not easy to spot in a city.

I never thought that the humble Dragonfly would be so popular so as to be put on to checks. Guess every creature has its space.

Wow, dragonflies flitting from flower to flower gathering nectar, ay? Perhaps you should do maybe 15 seconds or so of research before saying something like that. Dragonflies do not ever eat nectar. The only reason they might light on a flower is to wait to pounce on their next meal. They are quite voracious eaters. They eat other flying insects, mostly mosquitos, flies and bees. But will consume just about any other insect they can. The don’t kill their prey first, they chomp on the poor victim, live and squirming, while delicately dancing in the summer air, in mid flight.
So saying that a dragonfly doesn’t really earn it’s name is ridiculous. Tell that to the poor bee being chased by the jaws of death.
I love dragonflies, they are beautifulll, colorful, charming, and fascinating. But please do them justice before you describe their behavior on a public website.
